Hajia Malali Forotan

Hajia Malali Forotan, a board member and Deputy for Development at the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries – Western Zone (Herat), is a prominent figure in women’s empowerment and employment. She is the founder of the Women’s Empowerment Association of Herat and the “Sobh Bahar” service center and manages the physiotherapy department of Loqman Hakim Hospital. With over 25 years of dedicated work in developing women’s businesses, she remains an inspiring leader in Western Afghanistan.

 

Laila Jami

Laila Jami, a board member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries – Western Zone (Herat), has over 30 years of experience in tailoring and has managed her own workshop for five years. She has trained around 200 girls and women, contributing significantly to women’s economic empowerment and job creation. She also has experience teaching in schools and professional institutions, with a focus on enhancing skills and economic independence for women.
