A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI) and Tashabos Educational Organization (TEO) on May 23, 2018. The MoU singed by Mr. Fazal Rabi Haqbeen, the Executive Director of Tashabos Educational Organization (TEO) and Ms. Manizha Wafeq, President and Co-Founder of the Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI). The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Parwarish Oryakhail Director of Business Development Services (AWCCI), Mr. Abdul Ghani Khan Board of Directors of (TEO), Fatima Yaqoobi Trainer of (TEO), Hamida Mohammady, Program Officer (TEO), and Ms. Shazia Stanekzai Public and International Relations officer of (AWCCI) were also among the participants.
After introductions, Mr. Fazal Rabi Haqbeen welcomed the attendees and showed his gratitude by signing the MoU. First he had a presentation on (TEO) activities, vision and mission of this organization. In intoroduction to Tashabos Education Organization, he said that this organization is a youth focused organization that promotes responsible citizenship and leadership, democratic governance and lessons in market economy, and facilitates networking to high school students in Grades 10, 11 and 12 in Kabul, Nangarhar, Parwan and Bamyan Provinces. In addition he said, Tashabos means (Business), while translated to English, He added that Tashabos indicated in our Holy Book Quran in Surah Muzamil and Surah Juma as well. Based on Islamic law we prepared books for students. He added that our organization has signed several MoUs with different government and non-governmental organizations such as Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women Affairs and today with AWCCI which is great pleasure. Mr. Haqbeen said the book we have prepared for class 10,11 and 12; has great result in students careers starting of business of their own after graduation from school. He added more, as the result of passing and qualifying in Kankor exam for all students are not possible due to the lack of seats in government universities, thus this subject lead students to start their own businesses. (TEO) organized exhibitions in two session for Tashabos students in their schools.
Mr. Haqbeen said the main goal of (TEO) is Engendering Entrepreneurship in Afghan Youth. In his words he said, in our survey among students for their interest in Tashabos subject; girls has more interest in rather than boys, so it will be good if these girls have chance to be connected with AWCCI; in its exhibition/other activities for their business development. As Ms. Hadia in Jalalabad City, the graduates of (TEO) has started her own business and employed about 20 other girls.
In her words Ms. Manizha Wafeq praised (TEO) work and activities. She also expressed her gratitude by signing the MoU. She added that AWCCI will have close cooperation with (TEO) to have role in development of the society and enhanced the best result of joint work. She mentioned that for Afghan’s we need to change our culture of only working for others but starting our own small business and not only employ ourselves but many others. TEO’s mandate in aligned with AWCCI’s to enhance entrepreneurship in the society. AWCCI will be supportive to enhance TEO’s female graduates to a business
