Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Bazaar-e-Roz was a part of Farmer’s Festival and 22nd Spring AgFair 2019 this time. AWCCI, Based on the MoU with Private Sector Directorate of Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, has facilitated the participation of 30 women businesses by installing 30 booths in Badam Bagh. This year, the spring AgFair held for 5 full days starting on March 22 an ending on March 26 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
These businesses were from Clothing, Handicrafts, Jewelry, Dry Fruits and Food sectors. Ms. Narmin Hashimi, the owner of Tayeb Hashimi company, AWCCI active member and one of the participants in this exhibition, talked about her participation and expressed her satisfaction and said: “I participated in this exhibition and our sales was better than past years because the exhibition was open from 8 am to 5 pm and people could come and buy from Afghan women booths. Therefore we had sales of 10,000 AFN and more.”
At the end of the bazaar, women were happy with their sales in this bazaar. The total sales of women owned businesses were 4,26,170 AFN and on average basis, the sales were AFN 14,206. The highest sales, made by one of participating women businesses and a member of AWCCI, were AFN 120,000.
