“Bibi Khadija Award” was launched on November 19^th, 2015 on the occasion of International Women Entrepreneurship Day to recognize and honor successful businesswomen and role models on annual basis.

The award is named after Bibi Khadija the wife of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as she has been the legendary and successful businesswomen in the history of Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was working for her  so, she has also been a leader and economic value creator in the Islam history. The founder of this award Ms. Manizha Wafeq always hoped to create such a regular process to recognize and appreciate the successful businesswomen and their supporters in the country.

Recognizing role models in the Business sector will encourage the new generation to enter this field and become economically active and creators of hope, job, wealth, prosperity and PEACE.

Award Main Categories are: Honorary and Competitive

1. Honorary awards are given to those serving women’s economic empowerment and women entrepreneurs development in the country or those women who are not in business but are highly accomplished and can be a role model to other Afghan women.

• have run her business successfully for more than 5 years
• have started a service business for other women business owners
